Elder Watch Program

At Home Watch by Firefighters, we bring the same disciplined care, integrity, and rapid response that protect vacant Florida homes to the seniors who live in them every day. Our Elder Watch program provides regular, professional check-ins so families know their loved ones are safe, secure, and supported in the comfort of their own home.

Who Elder Watch Is ForElder Watch is designed for:

  • Adult children who live out of state or cannot visit frequently
  • Seniors who want extra safety support while living independently
  • Families concerned about gas leaks, failing appliances, or unnoticed home hazards
  • Residents in Palm Beach County and surrounding areas including Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Wellington, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and West Palm Beach

What’s Included in Every Elder Watch VisitEach scheduled visit includes a respectful, non-intrusive check focused on both the resident and the home environment:

  • Personal wellness observation and friendly conversation to confirm the resident is safe and well
  • Professional gas sniffer inspection to detect natural gas or propane leaks
  • Verification that HVAC, water heaters, refrigerators, stoves, and other key appliances are functioning correctly
  • Testing of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and emergency exits
  • Visual inspection for water leaks, electrical issues, trip hazards, pests, or other safety concerns
  • Timestamped photo and video report emailed to designated family members after every visit
  • Immediate notification to family or emergency services if any urgent issue is found

Why Florida Families Choose Elder WatchFlorida’s heat, humidity, and storm season increase risks for older adults living alone. A small gas leak, a broken air conditioner, or an unnoticed water problem can escalate quickly. Our firefighter background means we are trained to identify hazards early and respond with the same reliability used on emergency calls. Unlike general in-home care or medical alert systems, Elder Watch focuses specifically on home safety systems plus a personal check-in. Detailed reports keep distant family members informed without requiring daily phone calls.
